Terminology:
- Inveterate = firmly established by age or long presence
- The Patient becomes a 'Christian'
- Definition of the 'church': truth vs. patient's view
- Definition of being a Christian: book smart vs. applying (appears to be a Christian)
- Christianity is more than a feeling, its work. This can be disappointing.
- God allows us to 'yield' instead of forcing
- Use faults/sins of others to produce self-righteousness
- His humility in going to church with these "smug" people
- Was patient really a Christian? His habits were all the same?
